    Use of Mouthwash

Mouthwash that contains fluoride can help remineralize your teeth since it can penetrate in-between teeth, thus preventing tooth from decaying and enhances the regular dental routine to avoid and/or decrease harmful oral bacteria, gingivitis and keeping a fresh smell in the mouth.

There are two significant varieties of mouthwashes:

    • Cosmetic mouthwash- Temporarily freshens breath but does not reduce your risk of cavity or gum disease.
    • Medicated / Fluoridated mouthwash- With active ingredients to kill bacteria that reduce plaque, gingivitis, cavities and bad breath.

    Dental Considerations

The use of mouthwash is not a replacement for daily brushing and flossing, though mouthwash may help other people with specific dental conditions. It is best to talk your dentist for advice whether you require mouthwash, which type and for how long you should use it.
