    A toothache is a pain in or around a tooth often caused when the nerve of a tooth is irritated, however there are multiple reasons for pain such as dental infection, gum disease, plaque, dental decay, tooth injury and many more.

    To prevent toothache it is recommended to practice good oral hygiene and regular visit to the dentist. First aid remedies for toothaches is to place an ice pack on the outside of your check to reduce pain and swelling, and if available bite on the affected tooth a cotton ball soaked in oil of cloves . But if the pain continues, it’s time to see the dentist as soon as possible.
