Denture is a big help for those individuals who lose their permanent teeth either partially or all of their teeth. It helps in chewing and speaking better compared when you don’t have teeth. When you lose your permanent teeth your facial muscles will sag, dentures will enhance your smile and appearance as it resembles your natural teeth.
If your denture is new, you may feel uneasy for a few weeks as your body is trying to adjust to the new appliance. You may feel temporary increase flow of saliva, your tongue doesn’t have enough space, minor soreness of the gums, and slight difficulty in eating and speaking, but all of these will go and takes time to adjust. Just like how you take care of your natural teeth so is for dentures, you have to brush all surface of the denture. Soak it in water if you are not going to use in night time.
