What to do for Knock Out Permanent Tooth?
Knocked-out tooth or medically called “avulsed” tooth. One of the most serious dental emergencies for permanent teeth, but the damage can be fixed when urgent care is given and there’s a good chance in saving the tooth.
Dental Consideration:
Bring the dislodged tooth to your dentist right away, holding the tooth only by the crown and avoid touching the root surface. If it is dirty, quickly and gently rinse it in cold water. Do not use soap or any other cleaning agent, and never scrape or brush the tooth. If possible, the tooth should be placed back into its socket as soon as possible. If you cannot put the tooth back in its socket, place the tooth in a container and cover with a small amount of whole milk or saliva. Another option is to simply place the tooth inside your mouth, between the cheek and gum.
