    Interesting Facts about Dental Plaque

    Dental Plaque is a sticky colorless to whitish deposit of bacteria and sugars that attaches on the surrounding natural teeth surfaces and even to dental prosthetics (including dentures and bridges). Plaque development happens after we eat, the bacteria presently living in the mouth mixes with sugar that produces acid which is damaging to the tooth enamel. The acid released by plaque can dissolve the teeth and irritates the gum.  No one is exempted in acquiring plaque and it can befall in all ages.

    Dental Consideration:

    Tooth cavity starts form a single plaque when not removed constantly can progress to many dental issues. That’s why it is important to faithfully brush teeth twice a day, daily flossing and schedule a visit to your dentist.
